How many times have we heard that?

Be different.

How many times have we been told to make small changes, or any changes at all? How many times have we heard that in order to get the results we're after, we have to be different? We have to change?

I think on some level we know this. We know that we have to be different. We know that if we want results - if we want to lose weight - we have to make changes.

But it's not an easy thing to do.

Change never is.

Change means stepping outside of our comfort zone and becoming someone different.

And what if we don't know who we want to be? What if we're not all that sure who we are right now? And what if who we become isn't what we had in mind at all?

I think the one component that's missing when we're trying to lose weight, is the piece that's missing when we try to do anything in our lives - anything on our own. God.

He wants to help us. He wants us to cast our cares on Him. He wants to be the shoulder we cry on, the ear that listens, and the heart that loves us. He wants only good things for us.

God has a plan. A plan that includes you. And he'll meet you wherever you are. So, pray for changes. Pray to be different. Above all, pray.

We pray for so menay things - why not weight loss too? Why not pray to be different?!

Kathleen that was absolutely beautiful!

You are so much more right than maybe you realize.  With so many "successful" diets and exercise programs on the market, why is it that 95% of long-term weight loss efforts fail?

It's because diets and exercises are only attacking the external symptoms of a much more problematic situation.

When we see ourselves as God sees us...

When we believe in ourselves as God believes in us...

When we understand the literal power God has given us...

When we value ourselves as God values us... it all changes.  Our mind.  Who we are.  Everything.

And the most amazing thing is this:  while most change is uncomfortable, this never is!  How can realizing our true value be uncomfortable?  How can experiencing the fullness of God's love be scary?  How can realizing how much power we have, through His strength, cause us to be afraid?

EVERY single step is empowering!

Again, thank you so much for your awesome post. :)
